Welcome to the realm of Water Moon. Tonight, we honor a legacy from the 13th century: A Lushi masterpiece by the Buddha King, Trần Nhân Tông,. A flower in a dream, a gift of the soul... Presented in its ancient Hán-Việt resonance, followed by its English spirit, here's the poem Tảo Mai or Early Plum Blossom.

Five days afraid of the chill, I was lazy to go outside.
But the spring wind to the lonely tree has already sighed.
Shadows slant over waters where ice begins to melt,
Flowers press softly where the warmth of spring is yet unfelt.
The Thúy Vũ song sinks beneath the mountain moon,
Flute-notes of jade float above the border-land clouds.
A single branch drifts into an old friend's dream,
On awakening, I regret I cannot offer it to you.

五日驚寒懶出門,
東風先已到孤根。
影橫水面冰初泮,
花壓枝頭暖未分。
翠羽歌沉山店月,
畫龍吹濕玉關雲。
一枝迷入故人夢,
覺後不堪持贈君。
