Vuong Thanh (王青) is a Fayland citizen exiled to the mortal realm. After some decades of toiling in the industrial machine, he has returned to his lyrical world to build a virtual Fayland realm, a realm of truth, beauty, and cherry blossoms, of moonlit ponds, of rolling flower meadows, sparkling sunshine and starry nights...
A prince of muse poetry – those song-inspiring femmes are transformed into Fayland maidens, woven with silken threads of moonlight… A multi-cultural lyrical scholar poet, he composes epic odes of homeland, songs of heroes, songs of life and love, tribunal songs of clarity, prose and lyrical critiques, in two mother tongues: English and Vietnamese, with some verses in Hán Việt and Chinese.
A verse-story opera composer, a musical genre he created, he breathes new life into the profound heritage of the East—rendering the sorrowful laments of Chinh Phụ Ngâm and The Tale of Kiều, into lyrical English, adapting it into verse-story operas. Western masterpieces, like Shakespeare's eternal balcony scene and Jane Austen's Pride & Prejudice already rendered into grand verse-story opera scenes with over two hours of cinematic music and beautiful singing. Austen's Sense & Sensibility and her complete literary legacy, Vuong Thanh has committed to roll out as musical productions in the coming years.
Pairing with the anthemic, thundering song "Hoài Hưng Đạo Đại Vương" of the East, his anthemic, operatic song for George Washington, the Founding Father of the Land of the Free – scheduled for release in late 2026 – stands as a crowning honor for his life's work in forging a Water–Moon bridge across the East-West divide, bringing to full sunlight hundreds of classical adaptations from the immortal verses of Li Bai, Su Shi, and Li Shangyin to the poetic heart of Vietnam, rendered into lyrical English, his second mother tongue – from which the title, the Eastern-Avalonian poet, is sprung.
