For the future of our fatherland,

The young men march on the road.

Sharing the same blood heritage of legendary ancestors,

We need to unite our strengths together,

And fight for a bright future of Vietnam.

Rise Up! O my country’s kinswomen and kinsmen!

Let us wipe away obstacles in our path,

No matter how dangerous or difficult,

We will persevere together!

Our fatherland’s currently in shackles and shambles.

We pledge our hearts and lives for a Glorious, Free Vietnam.

 O My Brothers and Sisters, let’s be on our way!

We will uncover the corrupted traitors, 

And destroy the greedy invaders.

Help our country survive this difficult times!

Wipe out the corruptions, the injustices, and the crimes!

O My Brothers and Sisters, let us all lend our hands.

For the future generations of our people, 

We must be of one heart and mind.

For we are the children of the Dragon King and the Mountain Fairy.

We will rise up and be worthy of our proud ancestry!

Our history does not lack heroes.

Our ancestors had fought and gloriously won many battles.

Multiple times, the waves of Bạch Đằng River wiped out the  enemies.

At Lung Nhai, strangers became blood brothers.

All vowing to expel the Chinese invaders.

We will march together into Thăng Long

This spring, and raise our swords together,

To destroy the cruel and greedy aggressors,

For we are the children of the Mountain Fairy and the Dragon King.

O Young Men and Women of Vietnam, Rise Up!

Don’t hesitate to burn the sacred fire.

For Freedom and Justice, 

We can sacrifice our lives.
