With the presence of flowing áo dài dresses, Autumn arrives.
Flowers and leaves wither,
trees stand still, indifferent.
Golden leaves falling silently to the ground.
Send the wind to let the clouds fly.
Send the rainbow butterflies to the flowers.
Send the moonlight with the love letter
to the Autumn of this mortal world.
Send the wind to let the clouds fly.
Send a melody to seek love’s charm.
Send a tender letter of love
to her autumn-lake eyes.
I feel so many regrets:
There’s no return path –
the boat had taken her to another shore.
The river of life flowed into evening,
Yet, love still lingers in my heart.
Break the old mirror, seeking her shadow.
But why regret and lament?
Birds will fly, I too will depart.
And try to forget
the old paths of yesterday.
Alas, someone, somewhere, forever apart!
Send the wind to let the clouds fly.
Send the loving butterfly to the flowers.
Send the moonlight with the love letter
to the Autumn of this earthly world.
