They are the heroes with no name,
No age, no record, no claim to fame.
Living quietly out of sight,
Working in the long, unseen night.
They never stood in glory’s light,
Never asked the world to know,
But with courage, heart, and sacrifice,
They helped this homeland grow.
Long before our time began,
They cleared the forests, split the stone,
Cut the roads through mountain spines,
Turned empty lands into living homes.
From dust and sand, from wild and bare,
They shaped a fertile land,
A country born from calloused hands,
And dreams they never planned.
They are the heroes with no name,
In war and peace, they’re still the same.
Giving all, asking nothing back,
Walking quiet, unseen tracks.
They are the fire, they are the flame,
The soul of earth, the heart of pain—
They are the heroes with no name,
Who gave their lives to this land.
They feared no road, no distant place,
Crossed endless mountains, one by one,
Bearing loneliness and hope,
In the long Southward march they went on.
Far from home, in silent days,
They carved a future wide,
Not for glory, not for praise,
But for the land they held inside.
When the homeland shook in flames,
Under foreign boots and steel,
They ran into the smoke and fire,
Chose to die so we could live.
Laughing at the face of death,
Enduring hunger, wounds, and fear,
Those who fell were torn apart,
Those who lived stayed true and clear.
They are the heroes with no name,
In war and peace, they’re still the same…
They laid their swords upon the ground,
And walked back home, unseen.
They turned away from wealth and crowns,
From honor, gold, and fame.
But their blood spread deep in the roots of the earth,
Their flesh and bones mixed with the mountains and rivers,
And their noble and sacrificing spirits
United to become the Soul of the Vietnamese race.
They are the heroes with no name…
And we are here because they came.
